Weblog 2. Tell about dancing

Saturday the 9th of march my dance group joined a dance competition.  It wasn’t the first time we joined. Absolutely not. Since january 2013 we join a serie of dance competitions whose the finals are the 23th of march. I’m so excited!
Since september 2012 I teach showdancing to young girls in the age from nine till sixteen years old. I’m not the only choreographer. Together with four other young ladies we are working in a team of instructors. The staff has individual his own tasks. My task is to pay attention to the technical aspects of the dancing girls. For example  I observe their attitude. The girls are sometimes a little bit shy and lax in their dancing.  I can understand it. They are teenagers. But I want to learn the girls that they could take their beauty expression during dancing.
How my dance story starts. I was four when I started with ballet. Something my mother wanted. Now it means I am a danser for sixteen years. My Goodness! That is very long.   I started since I was a little girl. I was wearing a pink ballerinacostume and pink little balletshoes. After all it was quite cute.
At the age of twelve I chose to stop with lessons in ballet and to begin in lessons of modern and jazzdance. I think this kind of dancing was better for me because I think this kind of dance is more cool. Presentation during the dance is more important than the technical aspects. Furthermore I don’t realy have the right body of a ballerina. Moreover I am not lissome enough. At my fourteenth till my eighteenth I have practiced Hip-hop and streetdance lessons. That was a good experience for my self-confidence and timing.
I love to dance. I think I don’t want to make my money with dancing. I think that’s almost impossible. Teaching is something new of my dance experiences. I like it very much! If you are a choreographer you can imagine so much ideas. It is an amazing feeling if the dancers perform the dance like you want they do. A choreography is a product that you only can perform. A dance isn’t a touchable memory. I think that’s the pullback factor of dancing.
